Age: 25 years young…My friends say I should act my age. What’s my age again?

Height:  6’1”

Friends call me: Marina…I’ve never really had a nickname, many have tried but none have stuck

Occupation/Employer: World Traveler (i.e. Advisor)/Ernst & Young LLP

Hometown: Aspen, CO. A place where the beer flows like wine. Where beautiful women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano.

What I’m looking for in a Guy: Someone who enjoys sports (participating in, watching, and all related drinking activities), and who will fill me in on the need to know deets (i.e big wins and setting up my fantasy leagues); Someone who has a sense of humor, is witty, sarcastic, but charming; Someone who is both ambitious and smart, but doesn’t feel the need to let others know it; Someone who can keep up with me socially and athletically, enjoys my fast paced lifestyle so we can spend time together, but is independent and appreciates that I am too.

Reality show I’m most likely to win: Road Rules Real World Challenge

One book I could read over and over:  I DO like to read but I don’t really have time to read anything twice….and do books on cd count towards the books I’ve read lately?

First thing I do in the morning: SNOOZE (mornings are not my friend), however, snooze is quickly followed by a run and/or Jillian Michaels workout.

First thing I hide when company drops by: My ridiculously large collection of VHS movies…and not only is it large, it contains MANY recent films.

Celebrity most likely to play me in a movie about my life:  Three-way tie between Cameron Diaz, Sarah Chalke (“Barbie” from Scrubs), and Chelsea Handler.

Song that always makes me dance: Per my roommate, I can not remember the words to songs, who sings songs, or hum the tunes to songs, so I can’t really tell you WHICH songs make me dance, but I will pretty much dance to anything.

No one would ever believe that I once: Graduated from The Citadel, sometimes I don’t even believe it…and occasionally I don’t admit it.

The #1 dating rule I never break: I follow Nordstrom’s Rules for Employees: Rule # 1: Use your good judgment in all situations. There are no additional rules…

Most valuable possession: My roommate Jessica (on any given day her complete outfit is worth more than my car and my house will devalue by 20% the day she gets married and moves out). Seriously, my most valuable possessions = my friendships.

Favorite local restaurant: Tavern on the Tracks.

TV show I never miss: You never miss anything when you have DVR, but I’m willing to miss any show to play volleyball

I knew I was a grown-up when: I bought my parents cell phones and a family plan so I could keep track of THEM

Most likely to be found at this local hang-out: Eds or The Attic

I can’t get enough of this guilty pleasure: Are you there vodka? It’s me, Marina.

Three things on my bucket list:

  1. Skydive, even though I’m afraid of heights
  2. Vacation solo, even though I’m afraid to be by myself (Turks & Caicos AVP Volleyball Vacation – soon to be checked off)
  3. Live in another country or at least a BIG city with someone I care about (the value of shared memories is priceless)

My greatest lifetime accomplishment, so far: Saving a little girl’s life. When I was eight, I saw a toddler follow her father off of a dock and into a dark lake. No one else was around. I jumped in after her, still not sure how I found her, and held her above water until her father could grab her.

In five years I will mostly be on the cover of Volleyball magazine because:  I rock!

Favorite movie moment: Technically moments, the numerous pranks played between Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau in both Grumpy Old Men and Grumpier Old Men

It’s annoying how good I am at: Taking the fastest shower in female history and being a good friend
