Charlotte’s most eligible bachelors and bachelorettes gather to auction off their date packages at this spectacular event for young professionals! More than 600 attendees share in the evening’s activities of bidding, dancing, and charitable giving! And none of this could happen without dedicated volunteers!
If you are interested in participating in the event by volunteering to be a bachelor or bachelorette, please complete the Bachelor/ette Application Form and submit the completed form to Gretchen Rohleder at the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at grohleder@cff.org.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is committed to providing the following to each bachelor/ette that completes his/her commitment to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation:

One exclusive VIP ticket to the 2012 Guys & Dolls event (inclusive of premier seating, champagne toast, beer/wine open bar, heavy hors d’oeuvres, DJ and dancing, and after party entrance)

Access to like-minded young professionals associated with a variety of professional industries and organizations

Recognition as an event participant in the keepsake event night program, event night slide show and on www.GuysAndDollsCharlotte.com (1/2 million hits in 2010)

Your Commitment to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation asks your commitment in performing the following as a bachelor/ette in the Guys & Dolls Bachelor/ette Auction:

Raise a minimum of $2,500 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation by March 31, 2012 *

Assemble a desirable date package to be auctioned off the night of the event **

Contribute to the silent auction, $500 minimum value

Complete various administrative/logistical commitments including:
- Attend all committee meetings unless arranged with CFF staff
- Schedule a minimum of one “family day” with local CF patient
- Complete recommitment form by November 16, 2011
- Turn in bio for inclusion on the website
- Attend professional photo shoot (for website and program inclusion)
- Attend kick-off party
- Fulfill date package by December 31, 2012 or be willing to step aside for winning bidder to fulfill package on their own
- Recommend one potential 2013 bachelor/ette at final Guys & Dolls meeting
*Fundraising minimums can be reached through a combination of:
- general donations: online letter writing campaign (required)
- sponsorship
- ticket sales: $100/regular, $150/VIP
- fundraising events: theme parties, bar parties, % of proceeds
- program acknowledgements
**The most sought-after date packages are generally get-a-ways and unique experiences. A few examples are below:
- Key Largo get-a-way: A 4-night, 5-day stay at the Hilton Key Largo for two, complete with a couples introductory scuba course, with four gift certificates from area restaurants to be used for lunch or dinner
- Hooray for Hollywood: Flights for two to Los Angeles, tickets to a Lakers game, and a taping of a Hollywood show (ex. Ellen, Jay Leno) with dinner, a spa treatment, and hotel stay at the Radisson downtown.
- Need for Speed: VIP tickets for two to the Coca-Cola 600 with pit passes, meet and greet access, and premiere race seating. Richard Petty Driving Experience certificate, dinner for two at the Speedway Club.
- New York, New York: A two-night stay at the Westin Time Square, spa treatments for two at the famed Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa, and dinner for two at the celebrated restaurant, Cut.
- Shop til you Drop: Limo service for a day to shop with certificates to boutiques all over Charlotte, including Sloan, Lotus, Scout & Molly, and Nordstrom. Haircut and color from Fuze Salon to get ready for the big day, and dinner for two at Ruths Chris to cap off a fantastic shop-til-you-drop experience.
